The history of our
family has been characterized by a highly evolved sense of beauty, art,
style and creativity.
It was back in 1925, on the famous Ponte Vecchio in Florence, that we
first set up our business, and since then our name has always been
closely associated with the city’s renowned traditions of craftsmanship.
That’s because living in Florence is all about breathing art, culture
and a yearning for Renaissance.
To excel in originality and creativity.
Surrounded on all sides by a wealth of beautiful squares and
breathtaking works of art, those who work in the |
|
heart of Florence cannot
help but feel the weight of history.
The city challenges us to push ourselves that bit harder, to accomplish
something as unique as the achievements of our ancestors.
It was Cosimo de’ Medici who turned this narrow little town into a major
player on the world stage, and in the process made his family one of the
most influential in all of Europe.
There have been numerous other examples of outstanding individuals who,
like him, have taken it upon themselves to act, to be the builders of
something new.
The example of these great historical figures has always been useful as
a yardstick with which to measure our own achievements. The precedents |
|
they set make it easier to
decide if one can honestly take pride in what one has done or made.
In the finest Florentine tradition, Cioni has always succeeded in
differentiating itself from others through its superior creativity and
professionalism. Each model, each line, is conceived in-house, and the
ideas are developed in the Cioni workshops by the company’s own cutters.
In accordance with the traditions of the Florentine fur industry - in
which women have always taken the leading role - our chief cutter is
female.
There could be no better person to interpret prevailing tastes, trends
and concepts of feminine elegance. |
