About Us

A Florentine family—perhaps like many others—yet distinguished by an innate passion for fashion and creativity, crafting fur garments and accessories for nearly 100 years, since the distant 1925.

It all began with an innovative idea by Bianca and Ferdinando Cioni in 1925, followed by the experimentation of their son Giancarlo who, in 1948, together with his wife Maria Grazia, moved the atelier to Piazza del Duomo. There, the space was expanded with an in-house artisanal workshop, enabling the Cioni family to pursue continuous experimentation and evolution in their designs: cutting techniques, bespoke tailoring, and—most importantly—the birth of prêt-à-porter in the world of fur.

Patrizia and Ilaria began their journey within this remarkable Florentine artisanal reality at a very young age. Two sisters—different yet alike—bound by many shared passions.
Patrizia, the mind and heart of the company, loves creating garments that are ever lighter and more comfortable for dynamic women who never compromise on femininity or practicality. She has been the creative force behind Cioni’s collections since the mid-1970s.
Ilaria, a little younger and involved in the company since childhood, has a natural talent for organization. She oversees advertising and the accessories department, which has grown significantly in recent years.
The tradition continues with Martina and Niccolò, Patrizia’s children.
Martina was just five years old when she first spent time in the atelier. Instead of playing with dolls, she preferred to craft her early “models” using leftover scraps scattered around. After completing classical studies, she attended Polimoda with great passion.
Following her time at Polimoda, she worked briefly as a pattern maker for an external firm. Today—after 23 years in the fur industry—she has gained extraordinary experience, allowing her to collaborate with designers and, together with her mother, brother, and aunt, develop finished products and sample collections.
Niccolò, slightly younger, also completed classical studies but unlike his sister, chose to enter the workshop immediately to learn the techniques that his grandfather Giancarlo had once taught his craftsmen. Today, he is the mind and hand behind the cutting department, creating pieces with magnificent inlays in all types of fur. His direct hands-on experience has shaped him, and he now contributes to the company’s creations by translating the designers’ creative visions into finely crafted patterns.
And then there is Gianni, Patrizia’s husband, Michelangelo, and many other hands and minds who contribute to the growth of this Florentine craftsmanship—admired around the world.

Patrizia

For more than 100 years, our family has followed—and often anticipated—the evolution of fashion in the world of fur.
We are proud to be an integral part of this history. We are the authors of our creations, guardians of the secrets behind their success, and collaborators with some of the most renowned designers in international fashion.

Ilaria

Every garment is the meeting point between creativity and artisanal mastery, because for us, style is not just aesthetics—it is an expression of identity. From our culture of bespoke tailoring to fit, to the quality and lightness of our materials, we have shaped a wearable and truly inimitable art.

Martina

In this great workshop of ideas, ever since I was a child, I’ve watched the sun’s rays enter through the windows and intertwine with the confident movements of our craft.
I feel the responsibility to preserve—and to renew—our long journey through new shapes, originality, and colors.

Niccolò

We are attentive to the changes the world demands. We have reinterpreted traditional craftsmanship processes to broaden the horizons of style. Through refined printing techniques and the precision of inlay work, there are no longer any limits to the creation of any project.

Giulia

It is inspiring to think of a craft born alongside human history and ingenuity, and to evolve with it—drawing from the values and inspirations that our city continues to impart to us.
