These concepts make up the history of the of Pellicceria Cioni, which makes its appearance on the scene in the very distant 1925, at Ponte Vecchio in Por Santa Maria, where Bianca and Ferdinando Cioni open there fur and leather shop. THE FIRST PITTI FASHION SHOW AND THE BRITH OF PRET A PORTER

In 1948, Pellicceria Cioni moves into a building on Via Ricasoli, opposite the Duomo, where the very passionate and creative Giancarlo, the son of Ferdinando and Bianca, together with his wife, Maria Grazia, expand the atelier to add a workshop for the modelling and cutting of tailored attire, a novelty for the times.In February 1951, the first Pitti Fashion show is inaugurated, and Giancarlo, an up-and-coming designer, is present. The couple also open a shop in the center of Siena.

THE ARTISANAL TRADITION CONTINUES

Since 1970, Patrizia, and since 1982, Ilaria – Giancarlo’s daughters – become a part of the business. They start experimenting with different colors, models and techniques in order to make fur light and easy to wear. Some years ago, Patrizia’s children, Martina and Niccolò, decide to continue in the footsteps of their great-grandparents, grand-parents, and parents. Their great passion and enthusiasm brings new life to the business, not only by attracting new national and international clients, but by producing collections for important names in the world of fashion..
